The Maxi is the largest of our four models. It offers space for a 90L fridge /freezer, 130L fresh water tank and a kitchen for all your needs. Due to the extreme weather conditions which can be unforgiving, you need a quality trailer that is reliable and durable enough to handle non-negotiable requirements. The monocoque design makes the Metalian trailer unique and the best off-road trailer in South Africa. The trailer is engineered to perfection and very functional.
For the first time in 2018, Metalian took part in the “Camper Trailer of the Year” competition, held in Australia. Taking 3rd place, the Metalian Maxi trailer made quite an impression on the judges and stood firm amongst some of the toughest competitors. Metalian again competed in the “Camper Trailer of the Year” competition in 2019 and this time the Parthian took home the crown.

Monocoque Design
Metalian Trailers have a monocoque design to provide maximum stability and road handling and the increased internal volume of the trailers allow for extra packing space.
The trailers are CAD designed and thoroughly tested. The box is fully seam sealed for keeping out dust and is completely waterproof. Puddle welded, bolted and only then powder coated with an Exterior Grade Polyester Powder Coating. Rivets are only used on the front end for fastening the anodized stone protection.
3CR12 Stainless Steel
The material criteria for Metalian’s off-road camper trailers are strength, cost, availability and choice of manufacturing process. Metalian trailers are manufactured out of 3CR12 Stainless Steel (Body, Doors, and Drawbar etc), which offers excellent corrosion resistance and strength for low weight.
3CR12 Stainless steel was created specifically for the manufacture of mining vehicles and equipment used in highly corrosive mines in South Africa.
